FAQ

  • Concierge medicine is a membership-based model that allows physicians to care for a

smaller number of patients. This gives patients longer visits, direct physician access, faster appointment availability, and more personalized, proactive medical care.

Our goal is to remove the frustration and delays common in traditional healthcare and provide thoughtful, relationship-based care.

  • Traditional primary care physicians often manage thousands of patients, which can lead to rushed visits and limited access.

At Sharp Health MD, we intentionally limit our patient panel so we can:

    • Offer same-day or next-day appointments

      • Spend more time during visits

      • Provide direct access to your physician

      • Focus on prevention and long-term health

      • Help manage urgent concerns quickly to avoid unnecessary ER or urgent care visits

  • Our combined training in Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine allows us to

manage both urgent concerns and complex ongoing medical issues, often helping

patients avoid unnecessary referrals, urgent care visits, or trips to the emergency room. As a husband-and-wife physician team, we also offer personalized care for both men’s and women’s health concerns in a comfortable, approachable setting.

  • Sharp Health MD is a membership-based practice. The membership fee covers services typically not reimbursed by insurance, including extended visits, comprehensive preventive planning, enhanced physician access, and ongoing care coordination.

Insurance is still used for covered services such as laboratory testing, imaging, specialist visits, hospital care, and medications. Services provided in our office that are covered by insurance or Medicare may be billed accordingly.

Our goal is to provide enhanced, personalized care while allowing patients to continue using their insurance benefits for services outside the scope of membership.

  • We coordinate referrals and work closely with specialists when needed. Because we know your history and goals, we can help guide decisions and ensure communication remains clear across your care team.

  • If you are hospitalized, we remain involved in your care by communicating with hospital physicians and specialists, helping interpret recommendations, and assisting with follow-up care after discharge.
